Ya I was just wondering if someone could be so kind and tell me: What is the difference between Road cars and Race cars?

I saw the results for week 59 which i didnt get in that one because of the complication of the thing I didn't understand what the difference between Race and Road, but anyways I jus want that clarified so i can post times for future races like that.

Well....most race cars are obviously race cars...like the F1's gt-one, 787b, R390. Then, the JGTC cars are also racers, and so are the LM cars. After that, most everything is a road car. But......there are some fuzzy ones in there too. The ZZ2 and the tuner skylines, lancers, etc. could go either way, really. Also, there are the "road" versions of the gt-one, R390, Ford GT, etc. I would suggest you ask whomever's running the OLR to find out if they're considered road or race. If you go by the game's definition of "normal car," you can just try to get into the Poly Digi Cup or Trial Mtn Enduro. For this, it's basically anything that comes with parts out of the tune shop. Then, you can try and get into the F1 race to see if the game calls your car a race car or not.

Alright thanks for clearing that up for me I just needed to know the difference. Just a little confused thats all and again thanks

When people refer to "road" or "race" versions of particular cars, they are usually referring to a number of race cars that also have homologation specials that are somewhat detuned and not full-race versions. These are cars that were designed as race cars first, and then street versions were made to meet the production-number requirements of the particular class they were in. The JGTC cars, and others, started life as street cars that were built into racecars.

Examples would be the Toyota GT-One (TS020), which has a red racecar version (with sponsor decals all over it) and a road version (plain red); the Nissan R-390 (racecar is light blue/white with stickers, road car is plain dark blue); and the Ford GT40 (racecar is light blue with orange stripes and white meatballs, road car is a variety of colrs with stripes but no meatballs).

what about "touring cars"

i think the CLK is referred as one

I was looking into this subject before organizing that race you are speaking of.

Go there, it is the thread I started when I ran that race.

Continue onto it if you want, and to go even further, one of the mods in this forum may want to merge the two and end up with the super road car/ race car thread.

Hope it helps,
Later. :D
