I was wondering if anyone could tell me what can/cannot be used for the Formula GT Championships on Pro Level...

I know of course the F1 cars, as well as the 787B. I have heard that the Toyota GT-One and Nissan R390 LM Race Car can also.

My problem here is that when I tried to use the Altezza LM Race Car (emphasis here on 'Race Car'), it goes against race specifications... What is the deal here?? It is a race car, but when you read the race regulations, the tuning section that says 'For racing cars only' is in red, meaning you don't meet that regulation. This just disappoints me and also steams me some.

I thought it was open slather for cars - but I will warn you, your little Altezza will get slaughtered. You'll need at least a 787B, a GT-1 or an R390, or preferably an F1 car.

That's bizzare. I tried it, just to see what would happen. It wouldn't let the Altezza LM in, but every other race car I tried was ok. (S2000 LM, The NSX GT cars, even the Beetle Cup Car!). Maybe the Altezza LM was added late in the game's development or something, and not keyed in as OK in that race? Or they just plain goofed. Anyway, it seems more of a mistake than something intentional.

But you must be feeling awfully confident or good to go heading into that race with an Altezza. If you want to use the Beetle Cup Car, though, it'll work.

Huh? I tried entering into the Test Course race with my Viper Concept and it wouldn't let me . Maybe that was a different car. Or maybe I'm losing my mind......(lets hope not)

Also, I've noticed similar things happening in other tournaments. In the Spider & Roadster Cup, it wouldn't let me enter with a Tommy Kaira ZZ-S. Low and behold, it was on the 'Cars Permitted' list. (This was in the professional league. I don't know if there's a difference in the beginner league) I've also noticed that in the 'Race of Red Emblem' Cup, it permits a Nissan Skyline GTSt Type M (The cheap one you can buy for under $30,000), yet this car is not labeled with the famed GT-R badge. Strange to say the least.....

I was trying to see what would really happen with the Altezza among the F1 cars, but that will not happen now. Goofy, stupid maybe, but I wanted the shot, or at least a test of it anyway. I know the 787B will race it, but I have yet to get any other race cars like the GT-One or the R390. I am getting there, only if I can get away from the computer :p

Hey Fury, I thought you had to use the ZZ-II, not the ZZ-S. I know one is on the list, and not the other. I know I don't have the right one, which is the ZZ-II I believe. Anyway, I will have to test the Altezza out elsewhere in the meantime. I am glad someone finally decided to respond to this post. I think I saw like 20 reads and no replies the other day..... disappointing...... what's wrong people?? LOL just kidding :D

using the F1 cars is pretty straight-forward and using the 787B is a real challenge to win every race .....there is no point in using the other cars because you will get nowhere :)
