Race fails to load

So I searched for this and found no mention. I have noticed that sometimes during extended play periods my game will begin acting strangly. Mostly subtle things barely noticeable.

I then enter a race...offline a-spec or arcade....and the scrolling car names stutter a bit and the bar fills completely and just sits there. The only solution is to restart the game.

Anyone else experience this? It is similar to behavior of pc games that have a memory leak.
 
I had that problem with loading Nurburgring 24H in the Dream Car Championship. It's probably from overuse of your GT5 disc, like me.
 
same thing happened to me trying to load the nurburgring on practice mode
 
Yes.
I've had the exact same problem.

I've had GT5 since release date and this has happened maybe 5 times in total.
I can't replicate it with regularity and it's quite infrequent so I'm content to just live with it I guess.
 
I had it once. It was since the last update. Maybe it is the disk... who knows. I quit through the PS button, and restarted the game. No issue. Come to think of it, it was the La Sarthe B-spec race in the Seasonals.

Glitch with the custom soundtrack that PD has fixed and broken several times since 1.08. It is much less frequent of an occurrence since 2.02, though.

That's very weird, though. Mine must have been an anomaly, completely, then. I had zero occurrences through hundreds of loads before 2.02, then one just 2 days ago.
 
To the OP: Same here, after long playing times, the game at some point fails to load whenever you want to start a new race :scared:... but it's not big deal... it's like the game is trying to tell you "There's a beautiful day out there, you know? :)"

I don't use custom soundtrack.
