Race my ghost. Yay or nay?

I was just reading through some Wikipedia articles and decided I hadn't read the PD TT page for a few years when I took notice of this...

The USB flash drive can host Tourist Trophy Replay/Ghost files downloaded from either the official game website or a fan site. It can also be used to exchange files with a friend's USB device. Once the files are in the flash drive, the user can upload them from within the game in order to compete with a Ghost ("Time Attack") or to watch a Replay ("Theater"). Each file can be used as Replay or as Ghost

Would anyone feel this would benefit the game by being able to upload a ghost onto, say, GTP and let other members compete against it?
I'm aware that online makes this feature sort of redundant but for those who aren't always racing online, like myself, would it bring a new dimension to the game?

So something like Autolog from the NFS series? Its a good idea, and adds another, err, dimension, to the game.

Then again, leaderboards would also fix this problem somewhat, and have seperate for friends list, national and worldwide.
 
I'd support something like this. This would be easy to implement, if PD would allow it. They allow custom music, why not a custom file. They may require control through a central server, but I'd be okay with that. It'd be awesome if that same site would allow you to see the video to choose(clean, realistic lap).
 
Can't you already do this if you upload someones best lap replay? It would be nice to be able to do without a computer though.

Yeap. There is also some replays in tuning thread allready.
 
If you figure out a way to do that, sign me up. It'll be just like the TTs in GT3's Arcade Mode :).
