Its that time of year again, this time in Dusseldorf.

The best drivers from all over the world are joining together for the annual showdown, the list of competing drivers is:
Sebastian VETTEL, 2010 and 2011 Formula 1 World Champion
Michael SCHUMACHER, seven-time Formula 1 World Champion
Jenson BUTTON, 2009 Formula 1 World Champion
Andy PRIAULX, three-time World Touring Car Champion
Tom KRISTENSEN, eight-time Le Mans 24-Hour race winner
Mattias EKSTROM, DTM star and triple ROC Champion of Champions
Sébastien OGIER, winner of five WRC rallies in 2011
Romain GROSJEAN, 2011 GP2 Series Champion
Vitaly PETROV, Formula 1 driver for Lotus Renault GP
Timo GLOCK, Formula 1 driver for Marussia Virgin Racing
Timo SCHEIDER, 2008 and 2009 DTM Champion
Martin TOMCZYK, 2011 DTM Champion
Juho HÄNNINEN, 2011 S-WRC champion and 2010 IRC champion
Jan KOPECKÝ, three-time Intercontinental Rally Challenge runner-up
David COULTHARD, winner of 13 Formula 1 grands prix
Filipe ALBUQUERQUE, DTM star and reigning ROC Champion of Champions
Brian DEEGAN, 13 X-games medals including Rally Cross gold in 2011
Travis PASTRANA, four-time Rally America winner and X-Games legend

*Some of these will be doing only one of the two events (Nations Cup/Individual)*

Coverage will be live and free on the race of champions website at 6-9pm GMT (Saturday-Nations Cup) and 1-4pm GMT (Sunday-Individual), for more information on the streaming click here.

Here's the driver lineup for tonight:

ROC Nations Cup (Saturday December 3)

Group A
Team France (Sébastien OGIER & Romain GROSJEAN)
Team Nordic (Tom KRISTENSEN & Juho HÄNNINEN)
Team USA (Travis PASTRANA & Brian DEEGAN)
SAT1 Team Germany 2 (Timo GLOCK & Timo SCHEIDER)

Group B
Team Germany (Michael SCHUMACHER & Sebastian VETTEL)
Team Slavic (Vitaly PETROV & Jan KOPECKÝ)
Team Great Britain (Jenson BUTTON & Andy PRIAULX)
Team All Stars (David COULTHARD & Filipe ALBUQUERQUE)

I'll be supporting Team GB until they go out. I think Team Germany are favourites with two of the best F1 drivers ever plus home advantage although if I had to choose one team to win I'd go for Team France with two young hungry drivers plus a very talented rally driver in their team.

You have great confidence in Team GB :sly:. I will be supporting Team GB up to the point they are lifting the Nations Cup ;) (He hopes...).

My money is on Schumacher and fingerboy. They're a deadly coupling, and have won the event many times already. Won't count out Team Britain though.

Team France look strong, Schumacher gets an unfair advantage in that he only drives buggies instead of anything manufactured by a Merecedes rival.

Side note for UK watchers, if you don't want to or cant use the internet stream, its live on Motors TV from 5.30.

Thanks for the headsup, always forget to watch it and mostly stumble upon it by accident when the races are almost over.

I know.

It's just that I remember Button being pretty bad at the ROC and Priaulx just average.

Shame about Loeb and one of the Nascar drivers not turning up but other than that it's a pretty good lineup. Does anyone know why Hamilton never takes part though?

Pastrana made the nations cup final in 2006 :p By himself! Plus Deegan did dam well in the X-Games.

Looking at all these international motorsports superstars making up the other teams, it kinda makes the US team look a little out classed. A couple of dirt bike enthusiasts? At least put in someone from NASCAR or sports cars.

What good would NASCAR drivers do on a tight super special stage in rally style cars? To be honest I am suprised they didn't pick Block and Pastrana.

You obviously missed the one where NASCAR driver Carl Edwards beat F1 driver Michael Schumacher?

Either way, I think there's plenty of drivers from the US that would be suitable, but maybe they're just not that interested.

I've never heard of this race, as I am new to motorsport, but I hope USA does well. Some teams look very strong. This will be interesting.

Ogier immense as expected.

Anyone else have to change streams after getting the "not available in your country" message?

Norbert looks better than the American pairing. :sly:

Vettel's car must be half a second quicker no way he's that quick...

Have been watching it for 1,5 hours, now it says that the video isn't available in my country...

Is their site overloaded or something?

I was on their website all along. After a couple of tries I got back on the stream.

Well, the nations cup is over.

Germany won, under dubious circumstances, shumacher won in the xbows against kristensen. Vettel was meant to be out next in the skoda's against a rally driver, however they switched the cars to the buggies (because the rally driver would probably win in the rally cars). Hmmn.

Definitely!

Shame that JB dropped it, though.

EDIT: Well, that was a shame. That wasn't very fair.

Oh well, what do you expect, it is in Germany. Can't wait for the Champion of Champions races tomorrow!

I want those electroluminescent stickers on my helmet :p

I do agree that vettel had a bit of an unfair advantage. Lots of car choices left other than the rally and roc buggy.
