  • 3 way race.

  • Last position in the group is eliminated.
  • 10 lap race.
  • Number of Races: 1 Race
  • If 10 laps are not possible, then the 60 second countdown will determine the end of the race.
  • If the 60 second countdown rule comes into play, the leading car at the end of the countdown will be deemed the winner.
  • All races will start from the grid slots 1, 2 & 3 on the start / finish line.
  • You will start in the positions listed on the screen. First driver listed starts 1st, 2nd - 2nd, 3rd - 3rd.
  • I have had to make the pairings for the round this way due to an odd number of racers.
  • Any interference by non participants (drivers taking part in the public race) during the race will sometimes be unavoidable and should therefore be considered as an unavoidable part of the game.

Pit Stop Rules:
  • Each Driver Must Drive through the Pit Lane 1 time during the race
  • The leading driver must demonstrate their intention of entering the pit lane by moving to the right side of the track after the chicane.
  • The following 2 drivers may not pit on the same lap as the leading driver
  • Pit stops are not allowed on lap #10
  • If a driver does not make a pit stop within the rules, their result will be DQ'd.
  • When exiting the pit-lane, you must not cross the white line.
  • It is expected that drivers will not strike barriers or short cut while entering and exiting the pits.
  • Cars on the race track have right-of-way over cars entering the race track from the pits. You have to take care not to interfere with other drivers on the track. Swerving in front of upcoming cars to defend your position is not allowed.

Moving off the track:
  • When the race begins, it is important that you move off the racing line in a manner that doesn't interfere with those who are competing in the public race.
  • If you are placed on the left side of the grid, you must move off the track and onto the grass. If you are placed on the right side, you must pull over to the pitwall, positioned out the way.
  • This must be done while being careful not to impeded other drivers on track. Please practice steering off the racing line, to be sure you are comfortable with it prior to your actual race.

Grid Positions:

The race will start from the 1st, 2nd and 3rd grid slots.

Grid Position 1:

Race Start Time Rules:

The race will start exactly 20 seconds after the commencement of the public race.

All drivers are solely responsible for any delay in getting to their grid position. If any driver fails to get to their grid position in due time, then the other driver has the right to commence racing at the 20 second start time.

If both drivers fail to reach their designated grid positions before the 20 second start time, then the start time will begin at 25 seconds after the start of the public race.

Special Instructions:
  • Contact your race partners and talk about the following;
    1. If you agree to use public drivers slipstream / draft to benefit your lap?
  • The use of the clutch is prohibited in both events.
  • Any driver found cheating will be eliminated.

Drivers Responsibilities:
  • All driver pairings are responsible for:
  • Arranging (via PM) the date & time for their head to head race.
  • Selecting a date & time within the allotted time frame.
  • Allocating one driver from each pairings to inform (via PM) the Race Steward, Jack, of the the result of the race.
  • It is the responsibility of all driver pairings to initially govern themselves in regard to any racing disputes.
  • If any racing dispute cannot be resolved then it is the responsibility of both parties to contact the Race Steward individually by following the race dispute procedure below.
  • All disputes must be conducted in a gentlemanly manner and in private.
  • The drivers may, at their own discretion, ask another driver to act as a 3rd party observer during their race. The drivers would need to mutually agree upon this, and it is not a requirement.
All unresolved racing disputes must follow this procedure:

  • If a racing dispute cannot be resolved privately then as a last resort contact any designated Race Steward with the following information.
  • Name PM subject title 'Racing Dispute'
  • Supply Tag of drivers concerned.
  • Supply event name.
  • Supply Date & time of event.
  • Supply Cars driven by drivers.
  • Supply full details and any other relevant information relating to the race dispute.

If a race dispute is received, then the Race Stewards will make a decision for both parties involved. All decisions made by the Race Stewards are final, and are not open to appeal at this time.

Car Options:

All drivers MUST reset their car to default (found at the bottom of 'Quick Tune'), to erase all previous tunes from the car. You must then follow the guidelines above and setup the car the same. If anyone is found with different settings, they will be exposed and eliminated.

  • Please be aware that there may be an Online Event Update on the 30th, so please dont leave it until the last minute.

OLR Rules & Guidelines:

Good luck everyone who progressed to Stage 3! really nice format Jack...

Awesome...I really enjoy the 3 way battles, especially with a 10 lap event 👍 Looks like I have a match up that is as tough as they come :sly: MAY and Madforce  Time to put in work...

I so wish I made it through to this round good luck to all competitors.
Hyperspeed you can do it. 👍

Forgot to add the pitstop rules. Sorry.

Nope. In at full speed, get the pen, and exit at full speed. No speed limit.

good one jack! 👍

this will be more interesting.. hard battles on this round :)

look at the dranddad page you will see why :p

ermm regarding the pit drive through, i suggest for the drive through speed limit 80km/h or 100km/h.
I know that there is no one that can assure that the driver is doing exactly the designated speed but i guess we'd have to trust them or, put like another 4th driver there and monitors the speed by driving infront of the participating racer.

What do you all think?

Chris

theres is no point of doing that chris... the idea of the pits is to give the chance of the players to run without giving/having slipstream to/from the opponents... besides .. we couldnt never spot at what speed everyone goes :p

Personally, I don't see much point in doing so :dopey: Driving through the pits the fastest you possibly can is the more simple and fair approach IMO. Enforcing a speed limit isn't really realistic, in the sense of actually enforcing the speed limit as you mentioned. All we would end up doing is complicating the race further, without having any proper penalty system for such variables. It's definitely more realistic to have a speed limit, but then we end up making things unnecessarily complicated. Just my 2 cents 👍

yea ure right, i was just suggesting that since in the first post under the rules he wrote "no crossing of the white line like in real life racing, so why not making even more real and add a speed limit.

But anyhow, so its just full speed through the pit?

Chris

But anyhow, so its just full speed through the pit?

Yes full speed through the pits.
Howerver I have seen a video of someone entering the pits and received no penalty whatsoever. But thats highly unlikely that will happen in the race.

I just got a chance to test this car. REALLY great choice once again Jack! 👍 The car is very well balanced, sounds great, geared well and fun to drive :)

Now I have an excuse not to drive the boring old Clio

3-way-battle !?!? this sounds like fun
I also like the pit stop-rule, good job! 👍

It's when you see the 3 racers lined up like this, that you realise the quality left.

EVery name left, is a big/known name.

Good job Jack LAD.

Man, why do I feel like I've just been set up for that major knockout punch?

Im out. :( After over an hour of waiting for GTP_Chris to join, (he had issues) we had lots of DC's, I was way out front on lap 6 and it DC'd again, we just ran the final race and no DC, but I got hit by a Clio on lap 1, Chris and PASM kindly waited, I pitted, Pasm pits next lap, and I could never really break the slip, we had a nice battle, and unfortunately, I spun in Spoon last lap trying to avoid PASM, I think he was trying to brake early and stay wide to let me past and slip me down to 130R.

Anyway, game over. Good luck guys.

👍
