Hey guys. I just found a sim that works on my weak laptop. Not sure if any of you have tried it. I think it's just a demo called the Raceroom Experience.

Anyway I get it to recognize my wheel but the standard pedals are a no show along with my shifter. This is the first time using my wheel on a PC so I have no idea what I'm doing. :dunce:

Anyone else try this demo out?
 
Do you like the game? I think I'll download it later when I get home, maybe we can do some laps, it's been a while..

And how does it work? Does it stay for free? Do you get all cars/tracks or do I have to buy them? (like iRacing)
 
It's just a demo so i'm pretty sure whatever little things I have access to stays free (still have to see exactly what I get access to, believe it's a few cars and 1 track). Only played it for like 5 minutes (using my laptop for audio and video) after I got my wheel to work with it since I had to leave for work.

Going to give it a go (hooked up to my TV and surround sound) either tonight or in the morning.

From what I can tell from what little I did play the sound is amazing compared to what I'm used to. Graphics seem to be pretty good as well considering all I have is a basic Toshiba laptop.
 
Ok got to play a bit this morning. Its 2 cars on 1 variations of the same track.

Frame rate on my basic laptop is terrible but otherwise I can see this game looking good with a good graphics card. The sound is great. One of the best iv'e heard especially with the Saleen S7R.
 
I have yet to download it but sounds good from your experience. Didn't had the time today, probably have some time in the weekend. Can you go online in the demo?
 
It was the first PC sim I have ever played so it was a new experience for me. Very different from anything else iv'e ever played. Physics are just ok imo. I was definitely most impressed with the sound. It's hard to comment on the graphics since I know my laptop is lacking any kind of decent graphics card. No multiplayer access in the demo. :(
 
I have it running on my Rig, It's a blast! The graphics across my three monitors are great, I get a slight stutter when overlays pop up, but only certain ones!

Project Cars is shaping up as well, I've been playing with the multiplayer side of that.
And I went back to iracing again for a bit of fun (although, to be honest I'm not sure that fun's the right word with iracing..). Sound on all the PC games is stunning, with a modern PC and graphics card the visualls are incredible compared to any of the console games Ive played.
