Race 'Round the Ring for an R8

Your Task: 1 lap around the Nurburgring Nordschleife
Your Car: Mercedes SL55 AMG (R230) '02

Modifications: NONE (Completely Stock)
Tires: Sports Hard
TCS: 5
ABS: 1
All Other "Off"

Post a screenshot of your time OR email me/upload the replay to YouTube.
I will also host an online race for you to show me your best time, if we are both available.
Blue Laps Qualify! Red Laps Do Not!

Most of the people will say Cape ring, and I'm not gonna do the race because I hate the Nur circuit and drive with a not tuned Merc-__-"

Hey, that's completely fine. It's your choice whether to participate or not! If enough people ask me to switch cars/tracks and can reach a consensus, I will, and also move down the ending date.
 
Good fun trying to get a clean lap out of that car with those tyres ;) I did manage 8:28.114 but no screenshot as that's an easy target. Nice idea 👍

Since I know you, and I trust you, I'll accept your time without a screenshot. This only applies to you because we are ps3 friends, have spoken through private message, have traded and dealt with each other, I've followed your posts on GTPlanet, and I know you have enough cars, gears, and paints that you wouldn't need to scam anyone to get any more. I'd say those are pretty good reasons.

Even though, if you were to race again to beat a time, I would much rather prefer a screen shot.

And I know - it's a challenge with that car, isn't it? :) Sports medium or soft may be better...so again, I like a community process, if enough people ask to change the tires then I'd re-do this with whatever tires the consensus was voted upon.

Thanks man, appreciate you saying all that 👍 I would say personally leave it and hopefully people will have a go, it's no different to PD giving us a time trial, at least everyone has something to aim at 👍
 
When I ran this, 8:30.946, though I made about 3-4 mess-ups that probably killed off about 2-3 seconds
 
It's not in contention but my 835.315 was an accomplishment for me. With my skill set I only left maybe 1-2 seconds on the track. No screen shot because it isn't a qualifier --- Just proud to have made it.

Hey good job! It doesn't matter if it qualifies. What matters is that you did it! And now that you know the car, and the track, you'll definitely do better on the next lap. :)

I'm really sorry Jahgee, you don't own a phone that has that capability either? If there is any way you could just get a recording of the time: picture, webcam, whatever, i'd really appreciate it.

I just ask because I'd like to be accountable to the people who enter this competition.

I haven't loaded up my PS3 yet, but i'm excited to, once I check that thing out i'll give you a holler ;)
 
I'd literally let you text me a picture as long as you promised to send pictures of your junk once you're done, too :D
