Hello all.

Not sure if this has been highlighted previously. Apologies if this is the case. I did search first :dopey:

I was messing around with Google maps looking at satellite pictures of race circuits and I noticed some racing cars on the Infineon Raceway.
When I zoomed in to have a closer look, it went to ground level and onto the track. It puts you in the middle of a race with single seaters and all the corners are numbered. They are also listed as an address so if you put "Turn 1, California " into Google Maps, it will take you straight to turn 1 on the circuit.

I'm not sure if it happens on all tracks though, I will check.

Does this mean they stapped a camera to a racing car? Was it the actual Google camra car on track with these guys?

Thought it was fun and wanted you all to know about it.

Thanks for looking.👍

Just type in turn 1, and look at the list of suggestions. Sears point, Willow Springs, Laguna are all listed.

The Google car is on the track with LMPs at Laguna.

I've seen Monza and parts of Albert Park with F1 sponsors and barriers. Don't know what other ones are viewable though

A fair amount of Silverstone can be seen, particularly around the new pit building.
