Maybe it's to weed out all of the people using the Toyota 7 in the racecar drift events?

Then again, people will flock to another car, like maybe the BMW Vision GT. That car is fun to drift, but at the same time, I enjoy variety. (Seems like they do racecar drift events pretty often.)

For this event, I used the HKS Genki Silvia as tuned by shmogt.
 
I did first with nascar 10805 pts and changed to sls amg, after couple try my score is 11911.
My sls tune doesnt feel right yet, so I got some work to do if I want improve :)
 
Throw some Sport Softs onto the Lexus CCSR, apply throttle and opposite lock.

Ive used this for every Race Car drift event, get gold on the first pass every time.

No tuning, nothing, just swap the tires, and go.
 
To my surprise the VW Vision GT handles superb thru the small tight corners. It has been the most control I have ever had of a car while drifting and it was hard to give it too much gas an spin out. def going to test this car some more with drifting. im shocked.
 
I've yet to run it but I seem to recall my StingRay Racer Concept is something in the neighborhood of 470-490...it's my usual when PD makes me use a race car (as I'm not inclined to do so otherwise) and shouldn't be too much trouble to get gold.
