Racing/Driving Through the Game

The basic question is whether the cars given the AI in any given race would be capable of winning if driven by a human opponent. So, even though there is always a "rabbit" (like a Yellowbird or Amuse Turbo or Chaparral 2J) that one has to beat, it is generally possible to do so with another car. In the "Historic" races, for example, have people won with the Jag and Ferrari or other cars in the race?
Anyway, like many, I have begun "collecting" cars; but I wanted to find a way to use them. Has anyone tried using and winning with all the cars in a race?
 
i always feel like when i buy a car it has to earn its credits spent on it so i usually race them to regain their money
 
I'm also collecting cars and racing them to regain money in every race I should take. In past GT games it was a must to win races and sell cars to gain money. In GT5, the difference between 1st and 6th (8th...12th...) is very small, and it's worth finishing a race even if they don't win.

Second, I miss very much the lack of GT4 A-spec points. So, I'm looking for the worst (untuned) car capable to win every race in the game.
