hey, i wanna know what are all the racing games on the ps2 you been able to drift in. and how good did you drift?
i know of TXRseries, auto modellista, GT3,
colin mcrae rally(SICK touge tracks), NFSU, etc etc....
so name the ones that uve drifted in cuz i wanna go rent em and see 4 myself.

No games have 'drifting'. Although, some games allow you to oversteer, but a 'drifter' wouldn't be able to understand that.

Please, do NOT tell me you have a Sunfire 'Type R' or I'm going to hurl.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't games such as Touge 3, Battle Gear 2 and 3, Kaido Battle 1 and 2 all about drifting? I may be taking you and Giancarlo a bit to literal - you can't read sarcasm on message boards very well without smilies.

yes i have a sunfire type R, it is my dads, and i put a type R decal on it to give it more hp, also to literally kick honda owners in the face.

and yah other than the japan import drift games, game you can drift in that are ntsc uc spec.

you can drift in GT3. if you tune the car properly, you can perform very nice drifts

man, in the GT3 section of this forum, they have a whole frigging section on drifting! =P

no really????:dunce:
im talking about other games on the ps2.
ridge racer maybe?
maybe some other rally games out there?
anything..i just have to fill something new in before gt4 comes out!!!

Well - excluding the Japanese games, you've pretty much named them all. And it'd be a stretch to call what you do in Auto Modellista "drifting."

There really aren't any drifting games out in the US, you have to play imports to get most of the PS2 drifting games.

Somebody is lending my Kaido Battle 2, what the hell kinda game is it? Yeah I know I could've just typed the name into google, but wanted some opinions.

You don't drift in GT3. It's called understeer.

NFSU - oversteer, no matter what.
GT3 - with the right settings, it is definitely drifting.
Battle Gear 3 - drifting for sure
Kaidou Battle series - Half drifting, sometimes it's oversteer
TXR series - oversteer, unless you have too much horsepower, then it's just sliding.

Oh indeed, don't forget the Stallion or a Cuban Hermes on a wet grassy area. ;)

The back end slides on some Ridge Racer cars yes, but you can't even spin out. All in all they only call some cars in that game "drift cars" because they wouldn't qualify as grip cars.

The only long-term drifting that can be done (to my knowledge) is in GT3. Ridge Racer, GTA, CMR2 only feature short-term drifting.

Yep, Outrun2 is coming to the PS2, and it's only coming to the PS2 or so I've read.

Oh is that so?? That's great! In another article I read (I think on ign or something like that), it mentioned the xbox only...

Don't laugh but you can even drift a bit on NFS6: HP2 on the PS2.......the pc version s*cks........it doesn't even oversteer:banghead: :banghead:

EDIT: Yeah, I forgot the games:

GT 2, 3, Concept (a bit)
and
Nfs Underground (duh:lol: ) (at least on the PS2)

I own a Japanese PS2 and i own a game called drift champion its really awsome its kinda like a story competition mod where you develop skills by driving and working on a car you buy stock .
