Hi all,

I'm wondering how to race my mates online? I've looked at the game instructions, and searched several forums. Does GT5 prologue, allow me to host a game and race my friends, and if so how? All i see in multiplayer is the option to join a pre-set list of races, are these set-up by individual players? or hosted on a GT5 server.
I'm hoping for some option like that found in the motorstorm titles, where i can host a game, either private or open, race my friends, and chat at the same time. Any comments grateful.

cheers Oz

Only by timing it right.

Yes.

Then you are out of luck, sadly.

Thanks for the reply Famine, timing it right could present a challenge.. Hoping they add this functionality to the full game.

I don't think you have to worry. Prologue has just been a test to see that online works with good flow... and it does! I bet you'll see custom hosting so you can race whatever combination you want and invite friends to it.

You and your mates should meet in a chat room beforehand so your all on the same page. Then you can call "go" and you all enter at the same time.It does not 100 % guarantee you will all be in the same race though, pending activity at the given event and server distribution of racers it can put you in a race with none of your mates,it's happened to me.:grumpy:

The way its done here for organised races is reasonably straight forward..
Pick your online race that you and your friends want to race in...

Agree on a time, and if its a heap of racing then agree on a bunch of times.. so maybe 10:20 then again at 10:50 then again at 11:20 etc... in this case every 30 mins..
(you will also see this referred to here as xx:20 xx:50)
You all have a clock displayed when in the Online game section, and everyones clock is the same time so when your clock ticks over to 10:20 you and your mates hit the Start Race button and like magic you should all end up in the same race.

To minimize the number of non-group racers set your start times to odd numbers. ie, XX:03 XX:12
