Hi Everyone,
We are currently working on the development of a product that we think would greatly enhance the racing simulation experience, and would like some feedback from you guys/girls.

Its currently in the design phase and have got to the point where we have discovered a way to achieve what we set out to (on paper anyway).
To take this any further we kind of need to do a bit of market research for obvious reasons and would love to hear your feedback.

So the product we are developing is a g simulator, its a cushion that you can place on any chair/seat, its just under half an inch thick and has 12 pads that sit under each thigh and buttocks which expand relative to the amount of force outputted from the game, giving the driver the same felling from you backside as in the real world with the sensation of lateral and longitudinal forces, bumps and impacts giving you more control over the vehicle and an overall better experience.

The obvious solution would be a motion simulator, but that's out of the question for the majority of racers, so we thought this would cover the ground in between.
We would love to get your thoughts and feedback.
Thanks in advance,
Callvey

Great idea. Just make sure this will be affordable enough for mass market/game adoption. To be honest, depending on how/what type of pads are used, your device could have different applications at minimal FPS games can also be used.

I hope you do have some great idea as there have been similar products which failed to get adoption for various reasons. Based on your brief description it sounded quite similar to G-Seat but your's more like a car seat massager implementation which suits more people with different types of seats.

Anyway, best of luck and looking forward to it. In the meantime…

Thanks for you feedback Soulfresh, we are looking for it to be around the same cost as a mid range steering wheel as this would be essential for a mass market product and wouldn't take the idea further if this couldn't be aheived. The araig looks awesome I think they use ems to contract muscles?

Yeah, a "poor man's" GS4 seat would be great if done right. Don't know how easily you could make it possible to run two at once in order to have the second one fixed to the back of the seat.

Did anyone manage to even get one? Seems like the product stopped developing.

Yeah I got one but I don´t recommend being involved. The guy have a tendency to disappear from the planet earth. There was some update that would make it compatible with windows 7 I think it was but then he disappeared again.

How does it work?

electric motors?

Does it move or is it more of a vibration?
