I hope this isn't a stupid noob question.....but, I've read that pit stops for tire changes don't start until around level 23. My question is.....if I equip my cars (such as my 458 Italia or my ZR-1) with racing soft tires now (I'm only level 14 A-Spec), are there any disadvantages such as my tires being so soft that they'll wear down and harm performance before I even finish a race? I don't want to be running in a 10 or 15 lap race and have my soft tires screw up my race because I can't pit to change them. Or......is tire wear simply not an issue whatsoever until level 23?

Tyre wear only comes into play on endurance races from level 25 and up, so no issues with running softs in any other events.

Tire wear has nothing to do with the level system. I remember on level 10 or lower that the inside tires on my HUD, some were gone. This most likely happens of constant steering in certain conditions like accelerating 100% or oversteering/spinning out too many times. The inside tires also wear out from inertia via color codes, like red being too much friction & minimum grip & dark blue being maximum grip & no inertia & friction.

That's temperature ,wear is shown in the inner bars of the same thing.
