These are the selection of women that I know race, now and in the past. These are all women who have placed well in their respective racing categories. I might have missed a few, you can tell me in a reply if you don't find your favourite. So, Like it says, racing women you would like to date., but here's the catch: It's not going to be based on looks or physique, but purely by racing talent.

It's also hard to turn back time. Either way it's pretty difficult to just pick based on racing ability. All that I know is that Danica Patrick was doing decent-ish, Liz Halliday was doing pretty good in the ALMS and that Sabine was quite good at the Ring.

She raced some of the craziest most dangerous cars in the some of the most dangerous locations and fast as possible.

Group B rally Audi Quattro. She even got a Pikes Peak record.

For formality's sake, I'll say that Ashley Force is one helluva driver. It has nothing to do with the fact that she is super hot...no, not at all. Too bad she's married, and her dad would be a rather intimidating father-in-law.

I agree that Michelle Mouton wins for sheer talent and ability.

For some reason, I've always had a soft spot for Lyn St. James. Perhaps because of this great article on the 1979 Nurburgring 24 hours that I read, and it had this photograph I liked.

She has some decent talent, she has set 31 national and international speed records and drove her way to earn Rookie of the Year honors in 1992 at the Indianapolis 500. Raced twice at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, Two wins in the 24 Hours of Daytona Raced 9 times in the 12 Hours of Sebring, winiing GTO once, raced in 53 SCCA Trans-Am races with 7 Top-5 finishes and raced in 62 IMSA GT races with 6 wins and 17 Top-5 and 37 Top-10 finishes.

I think she deserves a bit of cred, since she was one of the pioneering women in racing.

But Michelle Mouton is still the best.

Oh, and I found that photograph from the 1979 24 hours of Nurburgring. The team finished 25th overall and 1st in class. (120 car field)

It's a rather odd thread, this. Basically, the core question seems to be "who do you think is the best racer", but the dating thing throws it off-beam. I'd also like it noted that Katherine Legge is not in fact a ChampCar driver (nobody is a ChampCar driver any more), but about to enter her second year in the DTM. And Fiona Leggate has just had her first child (to Danny Watts).

Michele Mouton is the stand-out talent in the list, so if you stick to the thread title, you'd have to pick her, in spite of the fact that she's 58. I've met her, and she's a lovely person, and she's French, ergo she's sexy. Sabine Schmidt is also the sort of hand I'd like to date, (contrast with Danica Patrick, who seems like the stroppiest person on earth).

But out of all the female racers, there's a place in my heart for Katherine Legge. She's pretty and all, but she just seems (from TV appearances she's done) like a really nice person.

I'd agree. I mean I'm not even American but still she is something quite special. I saw her first on that American Chopper GoDaddy bike when Mikey and her were doing some driving. She seemed pretty funny and is quite hot as well.
