You don't need a cockpit. All you need is a table that is the right hight to mount the wheel to that is sturdy enough to not flip over during those flat out sideways, lock to lock drift sessions.
I use a old dining table that my TV is also mounted on in my bedroom. I used to have a desk that had both on it when I lived in the dorms. You can use a foldin TV dinner table from Walmart that's like $5 and all you have to do is put a phone book or somthing on the crossbar to wieght it down some to stabilize it.
And that wheel's a waste of money IMO because it doesn't have 900 mode or touch sense force feedback, just those stupid vibrator motors.
