I read in an older interview of Yamauchi that he believed they got right the rally driving in GT3 and he wasn't satisfied with the rally in GT2. He says, and I paraphrase:
We were working at refining the rally mechanics when I made a discovery, and I can't give you details, that made rallying that much more realistic. Then I drove a rally car and when I returned to try it in the game I said "Ah, that's it!", because it was the same.
What do you think he means when he says "I can't give you details"? Rallying in GT3 (>4) seems to have more inertia, as it should be, than GT2. Anything else you have noticed?
