Alright, to be quite honest with you, ive had this game for almost a yr, not playin it alot untill about a month ago, Im not askin you what rally car i should buy, i just want to know which rally cars are good ones to buy with 200,000 credits?

the best car in my opinion is the Impreza STI 22B, fully modded of course. But here is a tip. Win the very last race in rally league, I believe it's the Special stage R5 wet backwards, you can use any car in your garage for this race, not just a rally car, and when you win all 3 races you'll get the Impreza Rally Car Prototype, the best rally car in the game. This way you can use your 200,000 on something else

Any 4wd skyline. Buy dirt tires and a turbo stage 2. Wall ride if necessary and win a real rally car.

Well I look at it like this. You can run a 300hp car and race to win or use a 1000hp car like an FTO LM Car which is so hard to control that it is still a challenge to win so wallriding isn't cheating.

I used an FTO LM Car for part of my first and only run through rlly mode with about 1000hp on board (can't remember the exact hp figure). Wall riding essential.

You could run most WRC style cars with very little engine mods.

I ran a 350bhp Celica GT4, with a few minor engine mods. An impreza Sti 22B with no power mods, just suspension, drivetrain, tyres, weight reduction.

Played around with the settings a little and voila.

Challenging rally races.

I suppose you could use a horrible fiat.

:odd:

Maybe I should try and make some FF rallycars, although I have a hard enough time making FF tarmac racers.

The Fiat Coupe has Torque, so that might be a help although that also means a load of understeer. Although it might be easyer to dial it out on the dirt.

There are a number of cars that can accomplish these races. A Subaru Legacy B4 Blitxen is a suprisingly stable and smooth car, with upgrades that make it very competitive.

PD used a very strong catch-up algorithum to boost the AI in the rally races, so to beat tehm, you need to run smooth and clean, as the added HP won't help as much as a wall free ride. I thin kthe AI will loose only by a few seconds

You can check my compendium to see what comparable times you'll need to run to win this section.

This is the main page that lists the entire game.

Good luck,

You used a Mine's Skyline, huh? I would've thought that a Skyline would be way too bulky to handle properly on dirt, especially in the tight courses like Tahiti Maze.

I've been finding that the Mine's Evo VI works as a fine rally car, though it's rather unruly if you don't take the jumps just right.

my preferred rally car is the Toyota MR2 with all the tuned parts and stage one turbo (314 hp or so). rear wheel drive so its very easy to spinout, but once you get the hang of it it's the most fun you'll have on tahiti maze.

skylines are good but i dont like the slight understeer it has in the rally stages. plus you cant get the rear end swinging like the MR2 .

next to the escudo, i like the fto lm race car and the beetle cup car(fun!) but for 200000, i would say peugeot 206 rally car.
