The thread title, your words and the video don't seem to have a connection. They also don't explain what you mean, unless you mean Rally cars don't move in GT6.

What I've found with the rallying in GT5 and GT6 is that you have to turn off all of the aids for it to start to feel correct. I hate that they default it with all the aids on. This is most notable on the license tests with the Subaru in Toscana. With all of the aids on, you'll be lucky to gold. With all of the aids off, you can get the car properly sideways and get a time in the 28 second range, 4 seconds clear.

Yes, for some insane reason the default setting for a RALLY car on a dirt track is a +5 traction control!!! :odd: I can't accelerate out of the corner with that junk on! Crazy..

I turned off all of the aids but it just still doesn't feel like the car gathers any grip at all, feels like I'm on ice instead of dirt? Obviously I've never driven a rally car but something just seems a little off.. I really love rally races and I was hoping for a bit more focus on them this time around.. but we got more kart races than rally.. :(

My experience so far in GT6 is that the Audi Sport Quattro S1 Rally Car '86 15th AE car has a massive amount of grip in the corners. I enjoyed the Dirt Trials in IB much more than I enjoyed GT5 rally. Just my experience. Take it with a grain of salt.

Indeed - and in support as a general comment, setting the suspension correctly for dirt and snow will improve the handling greatly from the 'stock' setting imposed on these cars - they're often set with hard suspension instead of soft and high ride height.

As said, it could be improved, but taken with a pinch of salt there is more to rallying than meets the eye.

I loved the rallying with my Quattro. It was epic.

Don't use the traction control, get use to it without it and you will find the rally physics will be quite good. With better rally tracks, AI and some rally in career mode it will be quite good.

on gravel ?
i'll come back on that... ;)
Every car (Not FF obviously) on any surface as long as it has enough power can do donuts with TC/ASM/SRF aids off.

A tip for rally (in GT5/6 not irl) is to use 50/50 power distribution, the front wheels will pull you round the corners faster

Yeah, that too - forgot to mention that as the default is often 25/75 or somesuch.

Was having BIG problem with rally on GT6, read this thread, turned off all aids and changed power to 50/50... And lo 3 races and a mission went gold soon after. Thanks all! Now if only I could do the same with those damn shifter karts. :(
