So, this was really one of the most exciting rallies in years or it's just me? I mean, the fight for the lead until the 2nd leg finish. It was great! Solberg and Gronholm fighting for tenths of second and Loeb not far behind! The driver's should've felt the heart trying to escape through their mouth on every corner!
I'm in Brazil, and I could only follow it on Internet, but tomorrow AXN will put it on air and then i see it for real.
It was a shame the two retirements, of Marcus and Seb, but that way, Ford and Gardemaister are on top. This means that, unlike last year, the fight will be longer. And not just Loeb not racing for a win and still winning...

ps. well, maybe Mitsubishi is back for speed now, the were doing very well...
 
I didn't get to see any of the wrc this weekend either. I did spend some time on wrc.com and I was biting my nails wondering if solberg was going to pull it out. I can't wait to see the coverage - my friend has it tivo'd for me.
 
It was boooootiful! It's about time cracks started to show in Citroen and "Super" Seb. I like what Corrado Provada said about the Grumpholm crash. He said. "It was all his fault".

Chris Atkinson (The new Subaru signing). Hmmmm........ I can't say anything about his driving, but. He had his ups, but mostly downs.

Skoda and Mitsubishi are improving. The latter is improving the most though.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. PETTER SOLBERG IS THE MAN!!!!!oneoneoneone!111!!1!!!
 
please edit that or atleast put in a couple spaces so it doesn't stretch my screen off my monitor.
 
Done, for those lazy people, who's hands are obviously tired from doing other activities and not have the energy to use the mouse for what it is indeed intended for. Minnesota01R6, you're the only one complaining :lol: Remind me to never shake that hand again :lol:

For me the most fun part was Mattias Ekström, a DTM champion, whose hobby is rallying. He got better times in his Fabia than the Skoda factory drivers! :lol:

But the fight between P. Solberg and Grönholm was indeed very exciting! If it lasted all the way 'til the finish line, it'd probably be the most exciting rally of all times (except the final GB SS in '03, when Solberg won the WRC).
 
Didn't you mean GB 2004? When Solberg and Loeb fought al2l the way to finish, and the Subaru driver passed Loeb in the last stage, and the Superspecial was really close? It was last year...

Solberg won the WRC in '03, Loeb won the WRC in '04. As far as I remember, the last stage in GB '03 was broadcast live, and Solberg eventually won the entire WRC by a single point. Can't remember to have been so excited, ever.

GB '04 however, I have no memory off. Sorry.

But there wasn't even a fight, because Seb got told to ease off to ensure the constructors title, because Carlos furked it up.

GB '04 was much better than '03, because it was earlier in the season and the championship wasn't fully wrapped up (It was near enough though), but Petter won by a few seconds and his wheel bearing was furked. Tense moments on that one.
 
Perhaps, but then again, take a look at where I live. Maybe then you'll understand why I was excited. 💡

Alas, rally Sweden (this year) was still fun. A lot of unexpected results. 👍

Considering it was his first rally on Snow I think he did well, some good times, but as you say some silly mistakes.

No doubt about it. He did do well considering it was his first. I reckon he'll be Subaru's version of Francois Duval.

Maybe, but Fracois improved a lot, really, last year. He had real chanches to win more than 1 rally, if Chris keep up like that he may be strong next year...in this one i don't think so.

No, not this year. I don't think he'll be strong at home either. I mean the thought of being on home turf, in a world renowned car, thinking you'll own because of your experience, generally makes you furk it up. This is just an introductory year for him.
