So far I have pretty much ignored the special events to focus on completing the main events, but I recently tried one or two and I have to say how much I am enjoying the rally events. It's a great feeling to nail a corner just right, and a fun challenge. I think I actually prefer it to track driving as it's more about the driving than the car. I know that the snow stages are a bit easier than they should be, but they're still great fun.

Just wanted to share this in case anyone else is missing this great part of the game. Also, are there other hidden gem events that I should try? Please don't say Nascar!

👍

You are a better man then me, I despise the rally stuff. I have a wheel and it really beats it up when racing. I just do not find the appeal. Bad news is I will have to finish them eventually :(

I love the rallying, I spend many hours in my Celica GT4 rally car with my DFGT set up doing lap after lap of Toscana and Charmonix.

Currently on a mission to collect all of the rally cars.

I personally find rallying better with a controller than a wheel, other races obviously its the other way round! A tuned up mini is great fun rallying as well

I hope Patch 1.06 addresses various wheel issues the community has been experiencing.

I have held off on playing much this week, knowing the next big update is upon us soon.

I will also commit myself to playing Shift2 with my G25 wheel, I thouroughly enjoyed Shift1 , albeit very problematic on the PS3 as well. (hilarious Porche car handling, aka rap bouncing cars)
