Ram, i have no beef with the old way, just the generality of the cars you introduce. If you did it like 1999 Subaru Impreza 22B vs 1999 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution Tommi Makinen Edition, you'd prolly get less critics round here.. my two cents

I understand what you are saying. But still. What if i did that and did it in a new way like the nba playoffs?

Letting the public decide will get very confusing... if you're gonnna do it round robin style... you choose the cars yourself. That's what was getting you flamed in the last thread the overall generality of your car challenge. There are so many Imprezas, Skylines, Lancers, Mustangs, Goats to choose from, it's hard to compare. like my last post in the Impreza vs Mustang thread, i don't know if you're asking me to vote for a 1996 Impreza Wagun or a 1969 Shelby Mustang GT500.. which would seem a little one sided. Here's a suggestion:

Take 4 cars of the Same price range, class and wieght, THEN ask people to vote (I.E. Accord Euro R, Opel Vectra 3.2 V6, VW Bora 4Motion 24v and Mazda 6) people might give you an easier time. Like you said, face off two at a time then, the final two go head to head

Thats the only problem I had with the old style, too diverse, its like asking if you like reptiles or mammals, or something of that sort, you get my point.
Also, if your going to do that, and if your able too, maybe pop a picture of each car up beside the name for anyone who doesn't own one yet, and can atleast base their judgement on looks. Alot of noobs might find that helpful, and you may get more votes that way. Just an idea, might be bad, I don't know, i'm pretty drunk right now.

round 1 best of 3 games, round 2 best of 7 games, finals best of 7 games..

sounds a bit complicated when you are just asking for ppls opinions of cars... :/

to simplify it just take about 8 cars, so you have an equal set of 4 pairs, go head to head, winner of groups 1 and 2 hit it off and the winner of groups 3 and 4 hit it off. the winners of those last two groups square off and the losers gun it for third place...

Crappy Diagram:

4-]winner 2] a-winner]--winner]1st place

5-]winner 3] b-winner]-loser]2nd place
6-]loser]x

7-]winner 4] b-loser]-]loserx

basically:
winner 1 and winner 2 square off with each other
winner 3 and winner 4 square off with each other
winner a and winner b go for finals = 1st and 2nd place
loser a and loser be fight for 3rd place
Xs are eliminated

Ok, i will do the nba way. But instead of playing to 50 votes. The people will vote for 3 days. Witchever car has the most votes when it closes wins. I start recreating the competition now.
