Random 40 rewards

I was doing the nascar series under forza driver cup on daytona speedway. Once I had finished, I leveled up and tried to claim my rewards and then the game crashed. I get back on, go to check my rewards and I have 40... instead of the 1 I should've gotten. Im assuming this has to do with me being lvl 40? But why lol.
 
Its a glitch. People have been doing it on purpose for the huge rewards but its just been patched. Since you did it by accident just be happy with the one off huge reward.
