Got bored after page 8 of the seasonal 7 rant-fest and started thinking.
(This is an idea, so I didn't post in the rant-a-thon. Couldn't find an ideas forum, so apologies if this needs moving).
If anyone else, like me, has a plethora of vehicles in their garage they have never even changed to, I'd love a mechanism for the game picking a vehicle randomly for me.
I pondered if this is something which could be applied to the seasonals, but the mechanics of it would take a little more thought.
Also, the tyre choices/tuning could also be randomised, perhaps.
Would be quite fun to enter a "random circuit / random competition / random car / random tuning" race, would it not?
Could be both competitive and/or amusing in equal measure, depending upon what it digs out your garage and how it chose to tune it. It would at least provide a quick fix if you wanted to race but couldn't think which car to try out or which race to go for.
Regarding everyone's favourite topic of "what's in it for me?", the XP and money could be tailored (using some nifty algorithm) to the level of performance the game threw up at you.
One game, you could be in an untuned 2CV on a karting circuit (not the ring!) and the very next race it could pick out that 600hp skyline you never bothered to use, with comfort tyres, at Suzuka.
