Random Question About Thread Polls

In what order are people's votes listed in polls?
Do the names even appear in the same order for other people?

As the thread creator I know for a fact I was the first person to vote in this poll so it is neither chronological nor alphabetical. Based on previous polls I've looked at, I don't think it's based on membership tenure nor post count.

Is there a method to the madness?

I don't know for sure, but the five people listed in that first poll option are in membership length (and ID) order.

I've checked a handful of other polls around the forum and I can't find one that isn't in order of account age, from oldest to newest.

Yes, they're sorted by user ID number.

I'm sure there used to be Cool Wall threads where longer-tenured members were further towards the end of an option than I was but it seems I am spectacularly mistaken.
