I have a question about replay length. I race with a group weekly and we have a bi-monthly endurance race. We usually have 10-12 people in the race. We raced at Bathurst last week and the message "you've reached the end of the replay time" or some such similar wording, came up at about an hour into our race(57 min. to be exact). So, we can see the beginning but, not the end of the race. Now, last night we had an enduro @ Apricot Hill and I received the message at 43 min. into the race that the the replay was done. Another racer didn't get the same message until the 48 min. mark and another at the 45 min. mark. First question is, why the difference in when the replay stops and the second is, is there a way to extend the replay length so that we can actually see the end of the race? I searched for an answer but, didn't find anything relating to this. With all of the online leagues in GTP, I figured that someone out there knows the answer to this question(s). Thanks for your time.

I'm gonna guess it comes down to how much storage you have available. That's the only thing I can think of since you both got the message but at different times.

What storage? on my harddrive?some partition? Is said thing adjustable????

From my experience, while the game claims that the replay has finished recording, this is not actually the case. Many times now in hour-long races I've received that same message (usually around the 45-50 minute mark) but found, when viewing the replay, that in fact the whole race had been recorded.

It must be said that I've only done races of up to one hour, so I cannot say how long the recording might continue after the point at which the game claims it has stopped. Someone else with experience of replays longer than an hour is needed to answer that.

As to why different people received said message at different points in time, I have no idea.

We race every week at WRS/3D3 Online races and have seen that message most weeks, but everyone is able to watch there replay all the way through to the end and the message comes up in the chat section at the same time for everyone.

The average race length is just under an hour on a Wednesday and even when we have done the 2.4 hour enduro you were still able to watch the replay all the way to the end.

What a few of us think the message is for is to say that the replay cannot be exported as GT6 has a 100 mb export limit on the replay's. So when it comes close to 100 mb the message comes up to warn you.

As for not been able to see the end of the replay I have never come across it even though the message can be shown most weeks in our races.

I appreciate the responses to my question. I went back and watched our entire replay from lap 1 through the end of the race. I guess I should have watched the replay all the way through before asking this question. Just to be clear the answers above are correct. Even though the message does pop up during the race saying that it has stopped recording, the entire race was captured on the replay Thanks for your reply's.
