Over the last few days, while procrastinating instead of revising for exams, I've been spending a lot of time on Google Maps pulling the Streetview man over random parts of the world just to see what's there. Most of the time I find I end up somewhere very beautiful or at least a bit interesting (and, strangely, usually on a bridge!) I thought it might be nice to have a thread where we can share some of the places we've happened upon.

Rules:
1) Try to make it as random as possible, you'll probably know what country you're in, but try not to aim for anywhere specific.

2) Streetview only, panoramio photos are likely to be of something interesting anyway!

3) Have fun!

Don't know if anyone else finds this pretty cool, however the greenday song Christie Road is about the place that they all used to go and get stoned when there were teenagers, its by the railroad tracks (hence the lyrics "take me to the tracks at christie road"). Its one of my favourite songs and it just seems to hit a real feeling with me. I have tracked down the exact point that they take the songs inspiration from.

I don't know exactly what it is however I find it quite awesome to see a place that inspired a song and a feeling.
 
True revision procrastination is finding a picture in a text book then finding where it was.
I found a photo of a Tesco in Evesham (Why?), and promptly found it on street view.
From the same book, a helicopter view of Reykjavik was followed by me zooming and rotating Google Earth to find the exact same view.
I am so sad...
 
I should get some of the landmarks and monuments around my area.
