you need a usb flash drive to do as said put usb in ps3 copy gt5 data to it put gt5 up send the item quit gt5 copy gt5 data saved on usb to ps3 put gt5 up you will still have the item!!!

I've only done it 3/4 times but basically you save your data. Copy it to a USB pen. Load your game. Send the car. Copy data from USB to PS3. You will then have the car again and so will the person you sent the car to! Have a search and you will get in depth tutorials!
