Ever read in some magazines about rating yourself? Like for men, it's probably a rating on the love life between you and your girl, what type of music you prefer, are you a good father, or something like that. For women, it's more like how you are with friends, how conscientous you are of your apperance, how "boy-crazy" you are, or something like that. Well GTPlaneteers, rate your level of automotive enthusiasm with the chart below

(10) - respects all cars without regard to power or performance. Caring of almost everything about a car.
(9) - respects all cars as a whole without serious regard to power or performance.
(8) - respects most cars with slight regard of performance or power.
(7) - respects most cars with moderate regard of performance or power.
(6) - respects many cars with heavy regards to power or performance.
(5) - respects many cars with serious regards to power or performance.
(4) - respects few cars with consideration of power and performance.
(3) - only respects cars based on power and performance. Nationality varies.
(2) - only respects cars based on genre, power, and performance. Genre varies.
(1) - only respects cars based on genre, nationality, power, and performance.

So rate yourself as an automotive enthusiast. You are not lining yourself up for ridicule if you score low. I made this up myself, not pulled from the Internet. I'm not attacking you now or in the future if you score low, nor will I put high levels to the test. This is a "just curious" thread. So give it a try, alright?

eh, i'll go 6, a little different, i respect all cars, but i take note of specifications, full specs of a car is what does it for me. Power means nothing to me though.

I would say Im a 1.
Im am very pro-import and anti-american short of not holding any grudges to Corvettes.
I really dislike the whole "ricer" scene.
Anything AWD and turbo I will love. That narrows me down to Mitsubishi and Subaru. Im hooked on the 4G63, what can I say?

I respect all cars with a huge regard to power and performance.

2, I don't like many Japanese or American cars but I like Most European cars.

Up until a year or so ago I was narrowminded and a 3. I'm steadily becoming an 11 though..

(11) - Respects all cars with a maximum regard to power and performance.

I'm a 10, even thou I don't like getting/purchasing a certain car, I respect the ones who made them. And if ricers come to mind, its not about the car it on the driver/owner. In fact, most people don't like Hyundai & Kia, but I like them. :)

0- I do not like cars, and never did. The only reason I am still on this board is that I am waiting for Klos to respond. I hate American cars, European cars, Korean cars, Japanese cars, and even Chinese cars.

There is no sarcasm in my post. I am not joking, I have never made a joke once in my life, and I am not going to start now.

But you are THE BEST MOTORING KING and klos to respond to what?

To respond to this thread, Klos is the most interesting and unusual person I have ever come across.

I hope all of you caught my sarcasm, even though I stated I was not being sarcastic. I’m a liar!!

I honestly have no idea. I just like cars (even though i don't know what over half the stuff under the engine is).

Hiya! :D :O

I would say I would have to be an....8! :O:O:O I like alot of cars differently for what they are for, but I tend to somehow want to know its spec at times just for curious reasons. Even if I am not impress that much by its performence spec, there is always parts you can buy to make it meet your needs! :O

I didn't catch it.

I don't think I fall into any ot those ratings. I just care for cars that don't suck. By suck, I mean something like the Jaguar X-Type. It's ugly, underpowered, overpriced, and outclassed by dozens of other cars in its category.

Hiya! :D :O

What rank do you think you are John? :O:O:O

I am definatly an 8. I can't say i like all cars because of such sloshmobiles as the Porsche Cayenne, Pontiac Aztek, and Chrysler PT Cruiser. But with power, i respect the MINI Cooper just as much as the Chevrolet Corvette.

"What rank do you think you are John?" -McLaren'sAngel

Hiya!

(clears throat) You know, I wanted to make this a poll so that we can easily review the options without having to go to page one. I completely took my pre-typed thread beforehand, so if this gets confusing later on, let me know.

So GTPlanet's Final Fantasy-playing diva "McLaren'sAngel" asked about MY level. Okay, I'll come clean. I don't have a certain rank, but I'm between 9 and 10. In fact, I'd say I'm more around 10 than 9. Ranking yourself a "10" means that you respect the car as it is. You take pros and cons and respect it altogether regardless. It even means if someone comes up with aftermarket tuner options. Sure, some people say "you can't polish a turd," but I guess like Barry Meguiar, I'm car crazy pretty much. Been nuts for them since 1999. The car that got me into others and that I still like to this day, is the Camaro. Even if people mess up cars (for better or worse) with bodykits and all, I sitll respect the car for being good to work with, then better when tuned to the modifier's delight. I'm being honest. I'm more of a 9.5, but as I said, I'm more a 10 than a 9.

So there you have it. Carry on, GTPlanet. And thank you for asking about my views, Miss McLaren.
