Hello GTPlanet!

UPDATE 12/22/14: So I uploaded some new photos to my Flickr but have now just gotten around to updating my GTPlanet gallery. I'm doing such a great job with promotion haha. Various galleries have been updated, with new photos of more cars with painted brakes and racing numbers, all in the 2x magnification size, now that I know it exists >.< Enjoy!

UPDATE 8/30/14: I've updated the "Beauty" and "Monochrome" albums with new pictures featuring cars with painted brake calipers and racing numbers. Stay tuned, there will be more to come.

I've browsed GTPlanet for the past several years, but now I've made an account, primarily to share my photos I've taken in GT6. Make sure to check out my GT5 gallery as well, since I have many more photos and ideas there that I didn't repeat in GT6, such as my "Night Driving" album (https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/threads/razgriz2118s-photo-gallery.312842/). Also, any help on how to link albums, pictures, etc. cleanly into posts will be greatly appreciated. Also, any advice on how to take better photos is appreciated, too!

I have no specific car types, nationality, etc. or environment in terms of what I take photos of. If it looks cool, was a neat moment, or describes how I feel, I'll take a photo of it. I use all the filters in the game, except for the 2nd and 3rd Cross Processing filters. All photos are unedited, primarily because I don't have enough expertise using editing tools like GIMP, to edit them further. Thus, what's seen here is what I get from the game.

Now, to the photos! I'll explain my rationale for how I organized the albums in their descriptions.

Albums:

Driving ~UPDATED 12/18/14~
https://www.flickr.com/photos/124240658@N06/sets/72157645595087433/
An album of photos of cars driving alone in solitude. It is the only car in the picture and in movement. These photos convey emotion, both in terms of the energy from the photo as well as personal mood.

Beauty ~UPDATED 12/18/14~
https://www.flickr.com/photos/124240658@N06/sets/72157645531907121/
Beauty shots of cars and the environment around them. Here, cars are stationary, as opposed to the Driving album. I primarily use Photo Travel for this mode, although some photos were taken from Photo Mode. Here, I mainly focus on the beauty, art, engineering, and history of the car(s) in the photos, while using the environment to create a stunning backdrop.

Morning Serenity
https://www.flickr.com/photos/124240658@N06/sets/72157645538502731/
Morning time is my favorite time to drive, both in GT6 and the real world. The light is softer than in the middle of the day, and because I'm from Arizona, the sunrise is always awash with warm, desert colors. Add clouds to the mix, and there is a sight i could stare at forever. These photos are taken on time-variable courses where I can set it to morning, in order to capture the softer light glowing in the sky and off of the cars.

Evening Reflections
https://www.flickr.com/photos/124240658@N06/sets/72157645544766065/
Like morning time, the evening presents less intense light. However, it retains its warmth from teh midday, creating a different situation from morning. To me, this lighting signals the end of the day, and reflection of what happens begins. These images invoke that reflective sense inside each of us.

The Man Behind the Machine
(https://www.flickr.com/photos/124240658@N06/sets/72157645537107835/)
I would use the gender-neutral noun "Driver," but that sounds a little more clunky than "man" to me. Anyways, these photos focus on the driver behind the wheel of the cars. They represent the emotion and sensations felt in the moment of the photo, as well as the thoughts in the driver's (and thus, my) head.

Racing
https://www.flickr.com/photos/124240658@N06/sets/72157645537091415/
The bread and butter of Gran Turismo, racing. Here I've assembled all my photos from races that I've participated in. For here, "racing" means two or more cars are in the frame moving, or a pit stop is being performed. I haven't raced much online though, due to a lack of time, so most photos come from career mode. My racing folder from GT5 is much larger since I raced online all the time then. But, I digress. These photos try to describe the intensity of racing, as emotions are purged and man and machine become one.

Monochrome ~UPDATED 12/18/14~
https://www.flickr.com/photos/124240658@N06/sets/72157645542409472/
Last but not least, all my monochrome pictures, These photos come from all the albums from above. Monochrome, to me, conveys a different feeling than color photos. To me, they're more reminiscent on the moment and feelings at the time, thus changing the overall impact of the photo. This is why I kept them separate.

I'll make sure to let you all know if I update anything! Enjoy.

Great gallery start mate, nice work on framing in some of your shots 👍
(I also like a lot your real photography work we can see on your flickr 👍)

You have some pretty nice shots in here. I agree with Kodje some of the framing is well done. In particular I like the 2 LFA shots and the 'Man Behind The Machine'. Nicely done. 👍

Good variety so far too. Hopefully you try your hand at some editing soon, it will likely take some of these to the next level. ;) But so far so good. 👍

Great gallery. I like it.

Thank you! I'm glad the images are good!

Great photos. I really like your Evening Reflections and Morning serenity sets.

Thanks! I really like those too, I love photography during the sunrise/sunset. Maybe it's because I live in Arizona where I get to see them all the time.

Thank you! I'm glad I can frame photos well haha, I have no official photography training or background. The LFA shots are some of my favorites, too. I do hope to try editing; I see what some of the other GTPlanet members can do with editing and I wish I could do the same, I just lack the knowledge/experience in editing, and with college I find I have little time to play around with it like I used to.
