im sure he does with the successful company that he owns, and also from memory the skyline also quotes 400bhp being the limit to maintain the day to day reliability you can expect,im sure someone with 2 skylines over 450bhp will know that.

There must thousands of daily driven 400hp+ stock internaled RB's getting around, I am around them all the time. A good friend works in a reputable tuning shop with one of Australias top engine builders/tuner and they have 400hp+ RB engined cars in pretty much daily, that are driven daily by young guys.

If this guy has 2 RB26 Skylines that the engine say 'goodbye' when he goes over 400hp then he needs a new profession I think. Please next time you see him, ask him what 'goodbye' means, like what fails and how.

if your friend is getting high powered skylines in daily wouldnt that mean theres something wrong with them

Tuning shop....... they are coming in all the time for new parts and new tunes to match those parts. Power is the name of the game with most of the customers.

and yes most of these cars are dailys, they are mostly owned by young guys (their only car) that buy new parts/toys on a semi weekly basis as they get their paychecks.

Guess you didn't read the quote very well.

Your friend sucks at tuning RB's, then. JUN's R33 Skyline runs 1000bhp, and has over 40,000km's at that hp setup. Nothing more than regular maintenance has been performed on the vehicle.

Regular Maintenance: fluid changes, maybe a belt change here and there.
