Hi! Two days ago I bought the premium RE Amemiya AsparaDrink RX7 ’06, then I took it to the track and I see that in the cockpit cam the driver moves are wrong! :grumpy: When he changes gear, he moves his hand on the dashboard! :ouch: Do you have the same problem?

Isn't it a paddle shift transmission then?

Yeah I see what you mean ... you can kind of see the shifter in the lower left corner but he isn't all that close to it when changing gear.

That's not a bug, there are over one-THOUSAND cars in the game.

Sorry if you like the car a lot or something, but there will always be animations that will fall through the cracks when there's this much content.

Yeah, I think also the Alfa Romeo TZ2... (?) (the one that costs 10 milion)... I like those cars a lot but I don't like to dirve them in cockpit view... -_-" I hope they will fix it in the next patch...

Not a bug. Your driver simply knows how to use the force.

And in others cars like the MX-5, the driver's hand are through the wheel. They really need to work on the animations.

Nothing wrong with the Alfa. Shifter is in the right position.

Indeed, the TZ2 has a very long gear lever and thus a very long travel movement, it has a 'dogleg' gear pattern so you'll only spot the gearknob (and lever) when in second and fourth gear and it disappears from sight in the remaining gears.
People always bring this up as some bug or glitch, but doing a bit of reserach (if only by looking at some interior pics on the web) before jumping to conclusions is just as time consuming as asking or complaining about it on a forum.

Ok sorry for my mistake! :) The alfa is ok but the re amemyia has a bug and I hate it... -_-"

Don't look at the gear leaver your in a race corners are coming your way at over 100mph  Should be concentrating on other things  :D

That's probably my most driven car in GT5, I do not recall the animation being incorrect.

By the way, I can't help but notice that by seeing this photo, in GT5 this car should have Comfort Soft tires at most.

That's what I run it with, the default tyres are overkill and completely destroy all of the car's characteristics.

What would you call it then? If something doesn't work or display as intended then it's a bug.

There's no way that car should be defaulted on Racing Hard.

Here is a photo from 1966, and those tires are not slicks. But they look more like sports tires to me. I would go for sports hard in front and sports medium back, as the rear tires are wider than the front. The wear rate will not be accurate though, but on the other hand the TZ2 wears the front tires faster than the rear so that will probably balance out.

The racing hard tires is probably because it's a race car, and in GT5 all race cars have RH by default...

GT5 to some extent already takes into account wheel size for grip, there's no need to choose different tyres to compensate.

In 1966 they were still using cross- / bias-ply tyres in most, if not all, forms of motor racing; they deliver less peak grip than radials because of differences in the way they conform to the road surface. In addition, tyre construction methods / materials at the time meant they couldn't make them beyond a certain width / height ratio. Both of these things, coupled with generally hard rubber compounds, meant grip was, overall, very low by today's standards.

These were Formula 1 tyres from 1966:

So Sports tyres are also probably overkill, but to each their own. 👍

Back on the glitchy-shifting animation topic, the hands of the driver in the Scirocco also seems off quite a bit.

I don't buy the last DLC, so I don't know... Do everyone know what cars have the same bug?

The majority of those with flappy paddles.
