Hey guys,
I've been noticing since GT2, that theres something wrong regarding the designation of these cars in GT. For example, the old Fiat 500 (which is a Class-C w/ 40+ hp) go head-to-head against the Toyota Sprinter Trueno GT-Apex (also a Class-C w/ 130+ hp), or a Renault Clio V6 (w/c is a Class-S but performs like a Class-A w/ 240+ hp) against the Wiegart-Vector W8 (also a Class-S but w/ 900+ hp). And why in the Class-S area a road production supercar (like a Ford GT40) can get mixed up with the DTM/JGTC/BTCC/Le Mans/etc. racecars which it happened in GT3, WTF?!!
I think PD needs more work on designating these cars besed on horsepower per performance ratio. Here are my suggestions:
-On the Class-C area, they should separate between the ultra-slow (old Fiat 500) [0-50 hp], to very-slow (Daihatsu Midget II) [51-94 hp], to slow (Mitsubishi Lancer OZ Rally) [95-155 hp]. Which results to Class-E, Class-D, and Class-C respectively.
-On the Class-B and Class-A area is okey, so lets leave it that way.
-On the Class-S, same goes with the Class-C separate them from the exotic (RUF CTR), to road-spec race cars {with no racing stripes}(Jaguar XJ220 roadcar), and last but not the least, the Race Spec cars ([R]Autobacs NSX). Which it will be Class-S, Class-SS, and Class-R or R-Spec (whatever you want to call it) respectively.
-And on the Rally Class, separate the Pikes Peak cars ([R]Suzuki Escudo P.P.R.C.), the WRC-Spec cars ([R]Subaru Impreza WRC) and the Endurace-Racers ([R]Mitsubishi Pajero Evolution Race Truck from Paris-Dakar Rally).
Take note that this will not only be based by horsepower but in overall performance of each vehicle in the future GT games, even if not going to be in GT4.
This style (to me) will make racing with the CPU or other players (spit-screen or online) fair, no more "this car is so slow for this class".
And I would like to see the [R] logo from GT1 & GT2 back to GT4. It looks good with it.
What do you think?
