I've had some troubles recently with GT5, two power outs on my PS3 resulted in the game being stuck at the colour 'Gran Turismo 5' logo, I then decided to delete the GT5 game data (I've backed up my GT5 'save' data a week or so ago, and also recently when these issues began).
It stalled for 20 minutes, 'counting' the amount of data, I decided to power down the unit, leading to the PS3 calling the former GT5 game data corrupt. I removed and re-inserted the GT5 disc, and it prompted me to download the 2.02 - I made sure to delete the local version of the GT5 save data after I backed it up.
I'm now in the process of re-downloading the 2.02 patch, and all its pre-requisites, I've currently calculated it has taken 2642MB, and it will perhaps take even more internet. I'm not even sure it will work.
My question goes to this, I may be forced to re-purchase GT5, as the disc could be burnt from the laser due to the power out/s, so I'm sort of forced to,
but would anyone here re-purchase GT5 for... cheap bundled DLC, collectors edition version, ect? My reasoning might be the most logical, but I'm curious to know if anyone plans to, or already has purchased GT5 and if so, for what reasons.
