re4 problem

i was playing re4 a few mins ago and i reloaded the game i beat to have all the money and wepons so i buy the normal shotgun and a few other pistols and upgrade them. when i get to the town wher the shotgun is found i go in the house and there it is i pick it up and it lets me have both shotguns. i have to ask
has this happend to anyone else? or did my game glitch
 
As far as I can remember you can pick up extra versions of weapons and sell them for extra money, its been a while but it seems like thats how I got most of my money.

You can do that. You can also have 2 of the broken butterfly because you find it in game.
 
Sorry to hijack your thread but I'm on experienced mode (ps2) and I'm well stuck on the Del Lago boss fight at the end of chapter 1. I can make it back to the boat the first time I'm knocked off but if I get knocked off again I cannot get back in time (as I'm much further out from the boat) no matter how fast I hit the X button.

Sorry to whine but I really hate button mashing sections of games to me it's just a lazy and frustrating way to challenge players. :yuck: I do want to get past this bit though and complete the game at this difficulty but has anyone else struggled on this fight or am I doing something wrong? This bit was dead easy on normal. :nervous:

Edit: nevermind did it right after posting this, just needed to keep my health up to full and move away when it charged me instead of throwing harpoons at it, which did the trick :D
