I really love the read first unread post option that was added to the forum but its really annoying that it takes you only to the page is currently on. Sometimes I can't get on every single day or the thread might be running fast and when I get back to the site its on a different page and when I click read first unread to get back up to speed with the thread I have to go a page back or so and stroll through it to catch up. Is there anyway to make it view the first unread for you no matter how many pages its behind the current page?
 
Yes, it takes you directly to the most recent message which was posted since you last visited the site (the most recent post is calculated by comparing the post date against the time stamp of your last activity on the site), not since you last read the thread. In order for it to keep track of the last page of each thread that you read (and thus be able to direct you there later), the database would have to store all of that information about each user in the database for an indefinite period of time. With tens of thousands of threads read by thousands of users each day, the data generated would unfortunately be overwhelming.
 
Thats understandable, its a great feature either way, was just wondering if thats how it worked or if it wasn't working properly for me.
