Considering its departure compared to older Playstation systems in that it is designed to sit vertical, I wonder if anyone else has found difficulties fitting their PS5 into their shelves/TV cabinet?
You can get stands on Amazon to resolve this, but I still find the whole idea a bit silly.
The original PS5 came with a black stand designed to allow the console to stand vertically or sit horizontally.
This was removed with the switch to the slim console (and Pro), replaced by a pair of clear plastic "feet" designed to slot into the middle of the base and only allow it to sit horizontally. Although apparently some still put it upside-down somehow...
If you want to put it vertically you can just stand it up, but if you want it to be secure you have to buy a vertical stand separately:
I bought a wall mount for mine. It holds the console, 2 controllers, and a set of headphones. And the controllers can be charged while sitting in the dock (the dock plugs into the console via USB).
