Read/Unread post problem?

I'm not sure if it's just my setting or something else. But sometimes a thread will be highlighted like it has a new post when it is in fact an old post. This also goes in reverse, a thread can have a new post but it won't show it as having a new post.

Again I'm not sure if this is something with my setting or not and if it is can you tell me how to fix it?

Do the threads in question remain read/unread after you refresh the page? You're probably just viewing the page from your browser's or a proxy server's cache, which hasn't been updated with the latest information. You can also try clearing your cookies.

Clearing my cookies seems to have fixed it, thanks.

I have a habit of pressing the Back button after I post to browse the list of threads. Sometimes when I post I'll press the back button, refresh to see the latest, and the one I just posted in is on top, like it should be. But it shows my post as a new post. Yeah, I already know that's new, because I just posted it. I never did figure out what that's all about.
