Ready to Get GT PSP but Confused ...

I honestly think Sony has lost its mind here. I'd get the UMD version now and play it quite a bit with my PSP-1000 but now I'm reading that Sony is NOT going to release any kind of UMD to Digital options for the PSP Go which I'd plan to pick up for X-Mas. And those of us in North America aren't even eligible for the 3 free digital downloads with a PSP Go purchase (not that the small selection of titles interest me all that much anyway). With X-Mas fast approaching, I really think they are shooting themselves in the foot here for everyone who already has UMD based games.

Haven't they learned from past mistakes enough? Very frustrating.

Does anyone know if you buy the digital version of GT PSP and use it on your current PSP, can you later transfer that copy to a new PSP Go when you get one?
 
I think the answer is yes. The things you purchase via PSN are linked to your account. So if you use the sams account credentials on the psp go in the future, you should be able to get the PSN version of games you bought.
 
You can activate a game on up to five psps, so if god forbid you have to change psp's five times, you have to purchase the game again. Would be much nicer if they can model it after Steam.
 
I just caved and bought a PSP go a few days ago to replace my PSP-1001. You can have the same digital copy of GT PSP running on two different systems at once. I've done it. Unfortunately, what I found you can't do is move your game save from one PSP to another. Which meant I had to start over :ouch:
