maybe most of you know this video but now, with Ferraris available in GT5, it's even closer to GT5:

What is really funny: at 3.00 you can see how the 'player' in the GTR hits accidentally the R3 button and activates the windscreen wipers ;) while he came out of the long curve.

What does this have to do with GT5? It's just a video of a race.
 
It's GT5 in real life, it's real life in GT5:tup:

Yeah, sure, a race at Tsukuba of a small group of different types of street sports cars, 3 laps, with one car being overpowered compared to the rest of the field... sure... no parallels at all... nothing... never seen in GT5 at all... not even the cars used in the race... especially the GTR... absolutely no similarities at all... could have been a chess match aswell... of course... YEAH... got it... it's just a race...

...have you ever played GT5 by the way?

Best Motoring battles in Tsukuba always reminded me of Gran Turismo, I don't know if it's because both are very Japanese in it's styling, or if Best Motoring did inspire Polyphony Digital in the past a lot.
