looking for Clean Drivers, who enjoy driving LOGICAL, REALISTIC "conservatively tuned" cars. abiding by FIA rules where applicable rally (~340 hp MAX, ~1250kg), super GT (~600hp, ~1100kg) etc... I enjoy driving everything (Permium) from stock honda civic, to F1, tunes modeled after real cars, many of which can be found here. looking for good, fast, clean drivers.
PSN: SteelyDave06
Room: Gran Turismo
Tires: Unrestricted (USUALLY Sport Soft for street cars, Racing Hard for race cars)
Tires & Fuel: *on
Grip Reduction: Real
Damage: **Heavy
Penalty: ***off
Boost: off
Grid: False start check
Aids: all off (ABS 1)
Track: vote (try to keep wide variety)
Laps: ~5 (USUALLY try and vote by word of mouth/chat)
Performance Points: Vote by word of mouth/chat and limit will be average of votes.
* Tire wear will be switched off if cruzing/drifting/"Cat and mouse" racing/playing around
**Heavy damage insures cleaner racing, rally races usually reduced to light damage. I am not a stickler to the Damage, just want good, clean, realistic racing & driving and am willing to switch off if racing remains clean and realistic. Damaged cars are to stay OFF the raceline and/or do EVERYTHING in their power to stay out of the way of other drivers and allow them to pass, pit and repair, or simply park OFF of the track until the conclusion of the race, or in rair cases (LONG races) quit, return to lobby, and watch the remainder of the race.
*** Not a fan of the penaltys in the game, just like racing in real life, if you gain position from an event where you cut a corner or came off the track, give the position back and continue racing. that being said, if a fellow player in the lobby brings to my attention that another driver is "CHEATING" first occurance be a verbal warning (FROM ANYONE IN THE ROOM!) and if the cheater continues to "CHEAT!" they will be booted
The ONLY reason why the rules are held so uptight is because of the current situation with online racing as im sure you are all aware. this will HOPEFULLY weed out all the GAMERS and then we (SIM RACERS) can truely enjoy all the glory and racing enjoyment GT5 was mainly desinged for.
I play with a logitech G27 wheel, I use the Clutch and H-frame (Left and/or Right handed) whichever is realistic to the car, interior view, map off, and occasionaly hide the game "gauges" (WRC Rally Cars with paddle shifters because G27 has no Ratchet shifter ability)
I hope some of you will join me, send me a friends request and/or keep an eye open for the "Gran Turismo" Lobby.
