Okay, I've tried so hard :grumpy: , for so long and I just can't get my S13 1800cc to drift like I want. I'm able to slide it, but it's difficult, the steering's response time is slower than my Grandma :indiff: , and it snaps into a spin out waaaay too fast. I'm usin sims on all four corners, 260hp.

Oh, and can someone tell me what engine mods would be helpful to make my S13's powerband smoother? Even the level one turbo kicks too hard when it enters the powerband. All my other cars do fine...but this one stumps me. I love my Silvia like a baby, but I can't find a setting that lets me control it, I think I'm going to have to give up on it once and for all.

Try this...

Spring 10/7
shocks 7/7 for both
Camber 3.0/1.5
Toe 0/0
Stabilizers 1/1

Brakes 16/18
LSD 40 on all three

Take the turbo down to stage one and put the gears back to default.

These are settings I use for my S13 2000 k's. I guess they should be fairly similar.

Okay, so on my list:

1. Do you want your car to be really bouncy? If so, keep the settings that you have. Otherwise, whenever you hit a little ridge on the track or the rumble strips, your car will bounce like crazy. Here is my tip: Keep the front setting around 1.75x higher than the rear. That should help you get some grip in the front.

2. If you want more grip, then put more camber angle in the front. The magic number is 0.9: the difference in the angle between the front and the rear, with the front being the higher number.

3. Stabilizers are not needed in a drift. In fact, it makes it harder for the car to shift weight (from my experience). You can tune those down.

4. Toe Angle: It looks okay since you say you always spin out. Try putting 1.5 in the front, and see what happens.

5. Set the LSD Init/Deaccel/Accel between 35-40. That should help decrease the amount of wheelspin in the rear.

6. Tune down the turbo to Stage 1.

7. Try it and tell us if it works!

Swift's settings look good. Probably you should try his first before mine, lol.

Hope everything goes well :)

WOW. HOLY CRAP  . I don't think I can ever thank you guys enough....my S13 can now be called a "drift car" :) . It can inertia drift, hold it tail out smoothly, pull OUT of a bad drift and save itself from a spinout, and have the balance to ride over bumps and hillcrests without losing it's center. Also, when I put your settings on, I forgot the put the turbo to level 1, but it gave me just enough wheelspin to pull off good drifts. The powerband kick isn't significant anymore thanks to the settings. Now all I need is practice so I can make my first video.....

Good stuff bud! Keep practicing 👍

You're on sims right?

Good deal bud. Keep it up. Make a short clip like I mentioned in the other thread that we'll be able to critique you a bit. Trust me, it'll help you out a lot.

There was a time I htought I was good....then I had some of the guys on this forum check it out and they really told me about myself. I improved overnight! it was great!

also, just to add something: that hp seems a little higher than you need. At about 220, you can get it sideways and you will be able to control it better and not spin out as much. Of course, the best way to get better is practice. Like Thio said, Keep up the effort and eventually you will start to learn what to do and how to make the car do what it is you want.

hey TurboLevin2NV, im also an s13 drifter but i used the 2000cc. you dint really need to smack on some level 2 turbo cus that delays the throttle response a bit. for me, i first bought the sport suspension and set stiff shocks all around and 3deg camber up front and zero in the rear. i also put on sport intake and muffler with the ecu for light HP tuning. i later got the level 2 weight reduction for even better handling response. that's all you gotta get and you're set. my s13 squeezes 272 HP or around there and thats more than enough
