Seriosuly, I laughed so hard today. I was on my second to last lap at Laguna Seca (out of 10 laps) and spun out cause another car bumped me during a turn. Whatever, I thought I could catch up. So on the FINAL LAP, the GTSR Oreca is winning, then on the FINAL TURN it goes to pit..... and I win. Seriously. Wow.
 
That's nothing, I've put a car into the wall on lap two of a 78 lap race, didn't move again until lap 63 when I hit it off the wall.
 
That's nothing in the SSpeedway F1 race, the F686 got stuck on the end of the pit wall and stayed there reving its engine for the rest of the race. It could have easily just went in reverse and escape but, it just didn't.
 
I seriously hope GT4 will have more than trains for opponents, I get quite impatient sitting behind a car waiting to lap it for three laps because it hogs the line, what happened to blue flags?
 
I was running at Laguna Seca in the GT All stars in the professional league, the R390 was going all over the place, hitting walls, spinning out, doing all that good stuff. And it never pitted. Cause it never got to that point...

Excuse me but it is the slower car's duty to get out the way! I'm not going to wreck my paintjob just because some dunce cannot drive, I'm no Alonso, I say GT4 needs blue flags!
 
sorry to intrude on your thread/topic. but I was wondering if any of you have ever mountd you steering wheel on a stand. If you did, do have any designs to share peace!
 
The really sad news is from what I've read about the AI in GT4, they're not any better.

Didn't they say that the Prologue AI wasn't complete?
I think a blue flag would be hard to enforce even on the AI. They woudl have to program all the alternative routes on 50+(supposed number of tracks) tracks. Say 5 passing places on every track thats 250. Also it would only be fair if they found a way to punish you if you were ever to get lapped (reaallllll likely ;) ). A 10 second speed penalty would be abit much, but they can't force you off the racing line can they? And then they would have to think of entering it into online play aswell.
 
I dont know where I got this nugget of informtaion from but, if you ram a car into the wall head on so it comes to a complete standstill its my belief that as long as its facing the start/finish line it will not turn or reverse to get out of the way, as its goal is to reach the finish line ? I think anyway !

This is a game we are playing, not real life racing on a track.
Even if you hit the AI you wont scratch the paint. Just be more aggresive and take enougher line to pass.

I've seen plenty of cars get stuck on the bus-stop chicane at Cote d'Azur for a few laps at a time. Unfortunately they always get stuck in very inconvenient postions right in the way of my line. But of course rather than knock them back into the race so they can be a pain for the rest of the lap, I usually just slow right down and drive around them. Then laugh. Then do it again a couple of minutes later. Then laugh again. :P
