I discovered this new tool over the weekend called GT Coach. It wouldn't surprise me if the developer is active here, but a search for GT Coach didn't turn anything up. It's a desktop application that receives game telemetry and compares it to a reference lap while you're on track and calls out spoken suggestions on how to improve your time. It's similar to a race engineer, but this application currently only works in practice sessions for Daily races and Time Trials. I found it to be pretty interesting and the suggestions it called out were mostly accurate and helpful. There's also a feature for a beeping audio cue to tell you when to brake. I did not find this feature useful. It seemed to be off, and although you can offset in settings, I much prefer to have a visual brake marker on track. When I discovered this application over the weekend, it was in beta. The day I went to do a video on it, it went to a subscription model - $109 annual, $13.99 monthly. I'm not sure I'll be investing in the subscription model, but I'll keep playing with it during the trial period at least. I put together a demo video of how it works.
