Rearview mirror

Hey there,

in the rearview mirror, it looks like the car behind you is far further away than it's actually is. If you look behind, they are always closer than excepted.. it is because the front view camera? I can't be the only one that this thing bugs me.

It's because the field of view is greater, otherwise you would only be able to see what is going on directly behind you.
