So I was doing a preview for an Indy 500 race online, assembling various video clips from the net together in a post, and found out that there is a cap on media, so I had to create two posts due to no more than 5 videos per post being allowed. Any particular reason for this?

I think it's the site software, Xenforo, that has this.

Ahh ok. I remember this wasn't case on the old GTP (which obviously had different software).

Obviously, @Jordan will be able to shed more light on this.

Yeah I wondered this as well.

Video players are "heavy" elements which are taxing for web browsers to render on the page. Including more than several players on a page can slow down or crash even fast, modern computers; not to mention tablets and mobile devices.

If you want to feature a lot of videos in a post you should link to them, not embed them all at once.

This is precisely why I avoid the youtube-heavy threads.

Yes, even just three Youtube videos embedded on one page can kill a browser.
