Received 6 minutes timed penalty at Monza! And then the penalty disappeared without slowing down

Hi, first post here.

A few days ago played fun race with my friends at Monza.
Drove quite terribly during the race and then I decided to cut chicanes just for fun.
I received more than 6 minutes timed penalty for cutting first two chicanes and then I skidded.
After rejoining the track my timed penalty gone just like that.

Here's the video, I dunno if this can be done in sports mode coz I done this in lobby.


Is it a bug or have I served the penalty because I skidded?

Someone posted about this the other day... also on Monza, so perhaps it is limited to just this track.

Yep. Happened the same thing to me.

@Famine I thought you were saying cars get kicked after a minute of penalties? Or is that just in sport mode?

At least I know now to avoid monza open lobbies unless they have 'return car to track' switched on.
