I tried searching but nothing came up, so apologies if this has already been discussed, I'd be surprised if it had though as this was a really minor release (I think it was developed as part of a game jam-style event).
I just remembered ages ago that I read an article about Receiver, basically a first person shooter but with full gun control, i.e. you had to manually remove and insert magazines, cock the hammer and so on, you can even check the chamber and decock the gun should you wish to. I just bought it on a whim, I've been playing it for about half an hour and I have to say it's pretty awesome for what it is. I could explain it in detail but this video probably says it better:
The site is here. I think the gun nuts will get a kick out of it, though I have noticed that you can empty a gun, reload it and never have to work the slide for it to chamber the first round. Oh well. The revolver is really nice because the extractor doesn't always empty every chamber so you have to wiggle it a bit, and the mouse wheel spins the cylinder which is quite cool, you can play Russian roulette with the robots that way if you want.
But yeah, just thought I'd share that. I'd love to see this system in an actual game, though maybe a game that teaches the player how to really operate a gun might be crossing a line...
