I have recently acquired the silver chrome paint chip and I would much appreciate any opinions as to which car looks the best in this colour. As you can imagine I do not want to waste it on any old thing and for it to look horrible. :yuck:
 
Send it to a secondary account, back up the save of the secondary account, and then you can have as many of them as you want, just keep resending it back to yourself. I don't have it yet, but this is my plan for when I get it. I think there's already a thread with cars painted in silver chrome, search for it!! Could help you.
 
It really is a matter of personal taste.
For a chrome (Silver/Gold) paint-job, I like cars with sharp lines.
As such, the only Silver Chrome car I currently have is a GT by Citroën Road Car.

I recommend checking out this thread. You should find plenty of examples that will help you make a choice.

I prefer to use the chrome paints on vehicles I use online often (ie NSX Typer R, Z4 M Coupe, Nissan GT-R)

ok, so im trying the duplicate thing and how do i save the game file to a memory stick?

Go to saved data utility
Go to GT5 and open the folder
Press triangle on the save file
Click copy and it brings up all the places you can copy it to
The second one down should be the memory stick
Select that and it should be backed up

Then when you want to replace the saved data:
Saved data utility
Go to memory stick, second one down again
Open and Gt5 saved data is there
Triangle
Copy
Replace existing

You should then have the game file back as it was with the gold chrome paint chip still there....... repeat....... repeat...... and so on :)

Edit:

Make sure you send it to the secondary account and only do this copying and replacing on the second account, best way to avoid any accidents with overwritting the save file of your main account..... don't want to see any heads being banged off of walls here:banghead:

so has Automated A-spec grinding. I resorted to it recently, and I can honestly say, it ruined a little of that magic inside of me. But I realize I would never have the money saved for a $20,000,000 car otherwise. Then again, in real life, either. But I have purchased my first 300 cars without resorting to grinding, so I gave this game much of my energy since its release. Now it's a wait and see thing with PD / Japan if they will build on this game, or not.

Silver Chrome will destroy the look of EVERY car you'll paint it with. When I got Silver Chrome, I actually had no idea how to use it.
After some days thinking which car I could destroy with that chip, I thought this: If you want a car that matches to such a colour... pick a Veyron. The car is ugly, has way too much power and is completely needless. Just like the Chrome colours are. (That's just my opinion).

Another good idea could be to trade with a friend. There are some crazy people that will give you a Veyron for that paint chip.
 
Out of just over 1,200 cars in my garage (so there's obviously a bunch of duplicate cars) I finally have a second car in Silver Chrome - the Cadillac Cien Concept '02.
(I must say, it's 🤬 sweet looking in the Silver Chrome!)

I actually have four of this car. One is "stock", one is heavily tuned and repainted in a shade of red, one is Silver Chrome and one is Gold Chrome. I'll be looking for number five so I can heavily tune a second one and repaint it in some sort of shade of black...

I only use silver and gold chrome paints for the rims. But I do have a golden Z-Act just for laughs. ;)

I don't care much about how people use their paints.

I don't understand why everyone hates the Veyron. Sure, it handles like a boat, but I think it looks very pretty.
 
It all depends on your taste, and weather you want to use the chip for the purpose of style or fun. I personally would put it on something futuristic and modern like the Citroen GT (I myself placed gold chrome on a Citroen GT Concept).

Well, the Art Morrison Corvette looks good in chrome, but then it comes in a version of chrome to start with, so it's kind of a moot point :D lol
